Meet ARTnet’s new Project Manager

My name is Sam Hawkins, and I am very excited to be taking on the role of Project Manager for ARTnet.

I began my science journey in 2005, where I studied Photonics and Nanoscience at university. After completing my degree, I began working for Global Medical Solutions Brisbane as a Radiochemist. It was not long before I was promoted to Production Manager where I was responsible for ensuring the production team produced GMP, sterile, patient specific Nuclear Medicine for a wide range of Hospitals and Imaging Clinics across Queensland.

In 2021, I became a mother and my career changed path. I had some time off with my young family and took a part time role in pharmaceutical sales, but it never filled the void that I had from my many years in Nuclear Medicine.

Now, as the new Project Manager for ARTnet, I am eager to work with medical specialists, technologists, scientists and researchers to promote and facilitate innovative and collaborative clinical research in the field of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging. I am looking forward to this next chapter. Let’s get cracking!!!
